Privacy Policy
FittersIQ · Last updated 18 October 2026
This policy explains what information FittersIQ collects, why, where it is kept and what rights you have. FittersIQ is made for kitchen, bedroom and furniture fitting businesses: Studio (planning in the office), Mobile (on site) and the website.
1. Who we are
FittersIQ (NIF Z0341705E) is responsible for your data. Contact for anything about privacy: hello@fittersiq.com.
2. Two roles: your account, and your customers' details
Your account. For the details of you, your staff and your company (names, email addresses, plan and payments), FittersIQ decides how the information is used. We are the "controller".
Your job data. When you put your own customers' details into FittersIQ (for example a customer's name, address, phone number, measurements, drawings, photos and notes), you decide what goes in and why. Your business is the controller and FittersIQ only stores and processes it to run the service for you. We are the "processor" and follow the terms in section 11.
3. What we collect
| Information | Why |
|---|---|
| Name, email address, company name, password (the password is handled by Google sign-in; we never see it) | To create your account, sign you in and contact you about the service |
| Plan, trial dates, payment status, seats | To provide the plan you chose and to invoice |
| Job data: projects, drawings, panels, cutting lists, QR labels, photos, notes, customer names and addresses you enter | This is the service: saving your work and moving it between Studio and the phones |
| Device details: device name, type (computer or phone), browser, and whether its work is backed up | To pair phones, keep work safe and warn you when something is not backed up |
| Site location, only when a fitter places a pin on the map | To show where the job is and look up the address |
| Usage events, for example "project created" or "QR scanned", with time, company and user | To keep the service working, find problems and improve it |
| Help questions and bug reports you send | To answer you and fix problems |
| Technical logs, including IP address, kept by our hosting providers | Security and keeping the service running |
We do not sell personal information. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
4. Our legal basis
- Contract: to provide the service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the service secure, back it up, fix problems and improve it.
- Legal obligation: for example keeping invoices for tax.
5. Storage on your own devices
Studio and Mobile also keep your work in the browser on your own computer and phones, so you can work without signing in again and without a connection. This browser storage is needed for the app to work; it is not used for tracking. If the company backup is switched on, the work is also copied to our cloud. Clearing the browser removes the copy on that device.
6. Who helps us run FittersIQ
| Provider | What for | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Google (Firebase and Google Cloud) | Sign-in, database, photo storage, server functions, backups, emails for sign-up and password reset, alert emails | United States |
| GitHub | Hosting the app and website pages | United States |
| OpenStreetMap | Maps and address lookup when a site pin is placed | European Union |
| Code and font providers (Google Fonts, cdnjs, jsDelivr, unpkg) | Delivering parts of the app to your browser; they see your IP address | Worldwide |
| Stripe (when card payments start) | Taking payments; we never see or keep your full card number | European Union and United States |
Transfers to the United States are protected by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK equivalents for UK customers).
7. How long we keep it
- Account and job data: while your account is open.
- After you close your account, or after an unpaid account has been stopped for 90 days, we delete it. Copies in our backups expire within a further 120 days.
- Invoices and payment records: as long as Spanish tax and commercial law requires (usually 6 years).
- Usage events and technical logs: up to 13 months.
8. How we protect it
Data is encrypted when it travels and when it is stored. Each company can only see its own data. Support staff can only change account settings through logged actions. We keep daily and weekly backups and a separate backup copy in another region, and we test restoring them.
9. Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct, export or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a common format. Email hello@fittersiq.com; we answer within one month. If the request is about your customers' details in your job data, we will help you answer it.
You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Spain the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es), or the authority in the country where you live or work.
10. Children
FittersIQ is a tool for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 16.
11. When we process your customers' details for you
For job data, FittersIQ will: only use it to provide the service and on your instructions; keep it confidential; keep it secure as described above; only use the providers listed in section 6 (and tell you before adding new ones); help you answer your customers' requests; tell you without undue delay if a breach affects it; and delete or return it when your account ends. You are responsible for having a lawful reason to put your customers' details into FittersIQ.
12. Changes
If we change this policy in an important way, we will tell account owners by email or in the app before the change applies.
